Thirteenth century temples and pagodas, elephant rides through tropical climes, historical tours of the Golden Triangle, local handicrafts of hill tribe markets, extraordinarily tasty Thai foods, and a wrap up of 4 days sailing through the marine paradise which is the Southern Thailand islands makes an absolutely perfect two week tour through the country of Thailand.
Day 1 Arrive Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time.
Days 2-3 Sukhothai (2B)
Spend your time cycling through the 13th century pagodas of Sukhothai Historical Park. Enjoy the serenity of the peaceful ponds and statues spread throughout the tree-lined park.
Day 4 Lampang
Stroll through this old-style Thai town which has retained much of its original style and charm and visit any of the lovely temples or pagodas in the area. Visit the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre and see these gentle creatures taking a morning bath.
Day 5- 6 Chiang Rai and Golden Traingle (2B)
With days of the opium trade well in the past, the Golden Triangle is now a peaceful area where Laos, Thailand and Burma meet.
Day 7-8 Chiang Mai (2B)
This northern city has long been a travellers’ favorite - try the fantastic street food, shop at the night bazaar or visit the hundreds of temples and beautiful surrounding countryside.
Day 9 Phuket/Koh Naka Yai (B)
Fly to Phuket at midday and board our sailing catamaran to experinence our first sail under the soft evening sunset.
Day 10 Koh Ping Kan (B,L)
We leave Naka Yai in the morning, and sail on to Koh Pan Yi, visiting one of the last 'Sea Gipsy Villages', spending the early afternoon ashore exploring the village. In the afternoon we depart towards Koh Ping Kan, where we spend the night.
Day 11 Koh Yao Noi Island/Ao Muang Bay (B,L,D)
We raise anchor in the morning, and sail towards Chong Koh Yao, the passage between the Yao islands, arriving to the tiny Koh Nok island. Here we find a stunning beach with crystal clear water for a swim and lunch break. A short afternoon sail will then bring us to Ao Muang Bay, situated in the North of Koh Yao Noi, where we spend the night anchored.
Day 12 Koh Phi Phi (B, L)
The morning sail guides us towards Koh Phi Phi, one of the most stunning Island groups in Thailand. We have a short stop over near the picturesque Monkey Bay for some amazing snorkeling and swimming.
You will disembark the catamaran in Koh Phi Phi in the late morning, where your tour comes to an end.
