From the kaleidoscope of culture in Bangkok to the ancient Siamese capital of Ayuthaya and the ghostly 'Death Railway', embark on a two week exploration of Tribal Thailand. Learn about life in the the northern hills on a hilltribe trek, experience Chiang Mai and explore the infamous Golden Triangle.
Day 1 Arrive Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time.
Day 2-3 Kanchanaburi/ River Kwai
A memorable day is spent at an intriguing historical site, with the options of riding the 'Death Railway', entering Erawan National Park or just chilling out with the locals - the choice is yours.
Day 4 Ayuthaya
Once a magnificent city, the serenity of Ayuthaya's Buddhist monuments is overwhelming.
Day 5 Chiang Mai
Bargains abound in the night bazaar or maybe cycle the alleyways in the old walled city.
Day 6-8 Hilltribe Trek (2B,2L,2D)
Appreciate Thailand's northern region on a trek through remote hilltribe villages, alongside terraced rice paddies and farms. Staying overnight in simple traditional hilltribe huts, it is a privilege to meet and spend time with the locals in their own homes. Wake up to a birdsong, swim in the river and glide downstream on simple bamboo rafts.
Day 9 Chiang Mai
Relax with a well-deserved massage, enjoy the delicious night market food or maybe watch the sunset from the nearby hilltop temple of Doi Sutep.
Day 10-12 Golden Triangle & Chiang Rai
Making our way to where Thailand, Laos and Burma converge we explore the infamous Golden Triangle region - both beautiful and mysterious. A boat trip on the Mekong is an option, as is a visit to the Opium Museum.
Day 13 Bangkok
Check out some of the best shopping districts in Asia and remember your tribal adventure over a delicious farewell dinner.
