Day 1 Arrive Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time.
Day 2 Bangkok (B)
Explore some of Bangkok’s wonders by tuk tuk, long tail boat or bicycle. A guided visit through Wat Po is a great introduction to Thai Buddhist culture.
Day 3 Chiang Mai
This northern city has long been a traveller's favourite. With fantastic street food, a bustling night bazaar, hundreds of temples and beautiful surrounding countryside, you will never rest exploring this energetic city.
Day 4 Chiang Kong
After a five hour bus ride, arrive in Chiang Khong and relax at our guesthouse which overlooks the Mekong River. Sit back and enjoy the slow pace of life.
Day 5 Mekong River
Begin the journey down the world's 10th longest river by slow boat. The Mighty Mekong is always a hub of activity with fishing, trade and transport between the many villages that line its banks.
Day 6-8 Luang Prabang (3B)
Once home to Laotian Kings, this is a beautiful town of historic temples, a multi-ethnic population, rich culture, vibrant markets, stylish coffee houses and textile treasures.
Day 9-10 Vang Vieng
Situated among limestone karsts, vast rice fields and the Nam Song River, Vang Vieng is the perfect town for exploring the Laos countryside or simply relaxing by the water.
Day 11 Vientiane
Quiet and relaxed, Vientiane has a wealth of charm to offer. From its eclectic blend of French and Laotian architecture to the uncluttered streets, riverside cafes and quiet temples, there's plenty to keep you occupied.
Day 12-14 Hanoi (3B)
Hanoi offers seemingly endless temptations in the shops and markets of the old quarter, relaxing lakeside coffee shops, fascinating museums and unbeatable food.
Day 15-16 Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Sail through limestone karst islands, explore huge caves and swim in secluded bays as you travel through Halong Bay on a traditional 'junk' boat.
Day 17-18 Hua Shan
Hua Shan gives a glimpse of the Zhuang people as we stay near their traditional style wooden buildings and visit a huge cliff fresco, painted by their ancestors some 2,000 years ago.
Day 19 Liuzhou
Enjoy a stopover in one of Guanxi's biggest cities to see the local city youth strutting their style, and experience the neon lights China pulls off with a fury.
Day 20-21 Chengyang
Chengyang is home to the colourful Dong people. Their exquisite 'wind and rain' bridges enhance the natural landscape around this captivating village.
Day 22-23 Longji Rice Terraces
Seemingly reaching above the clouds, Longji rice terraces are unforgettable. We hike between remote minority villages, following tiny stone paths carved out by the local people.
Day 24-26 Yangshuo (L)
Yangshuo is the very image of rural China. We explore this dramatic landscape by bike, getting deep into the heart of the countryside.
Day 27 Hong Kong
Energetic Hong Kong is the original city where East meets West. Cruise the harbor or take a trip to one of the smaller islands, shop for bargains in Stanley and admire the night skyline from Victoria Peak.
